Do we really need exercise?
Yes, absolutely! If you want a long and healthy life then you definitely need to exercise. Still there are some people who argue that you really don’t need exercise as our ancestors also lead a healthy life despite not doing exercise. Well, in those times people had to do a lot of physical activity. But in today’s time everything is done in front of a computer. So in such a scenario, doing exercise becomes all the more important. Not convinced? Well following are some reasons which would definitely convince you.
- Reduce the risk of heart disease: when you do regular physical exercise, your chances of developing a heart disease cuts down substantially. Regular exercise keeps the heart fit and running healthily as ever!
- Ensure physical and mental health: when you exercise, you not only get a fit body but a fit mind as well. When you exercise, your body releases “feel good” hormones and you feel better both physically and mentally.
- Reduce extra weight: being overweight is also a kind of disease which slowly hampers your body. By exercising you can reduce your weight and maintain an ideal body weight and thus ensure a healthy body.
- Keep diabetes and blood pressure at bay: if you have a history of diabetes or blood pressure in your family then exercising is all the more important for you. In such a case you are at a higher risk of developing diabetes and high blood pressure. By exercising you can keep these diseases away from you.
- Maintain healthy bones and joints: by exercising, you can ensure that you have healthy bones and joints so that you don’t have to pay a price at older age.
